The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway is 1877.15 meters long, running through Buji Mountain with an altitude of 1044 meters. It takes around 16 minutes to go for a round trip. 【Sun Moon Lake Ropeway】

1. Verification after presented QR Code to the staff at the gate of Sun Moon Lake Ropeway Station 3F.

2. This is a round-trip ticket. Passengers who only purchase ticket of Sun Moon Lake Ropeway must use the entrance at the Sun Moon Lake Station at Ita Thao instead of the entrance at Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is not allowed.

【Sun Moon Lake Bike】

By presenting the QR Code on the order, you can get bicycle at any following rental shop

1. EaseRide : No.149, Zhongshan Rd., Yuchi Township, Nantou County 555, Taiwan( 1 mins from Shueishe visitor center)

2. Ride 4 U : No.19, Zhongxing Rd., Yuchi Township, Nantou County 555, Taiwan(opposite of Chunghsing Parking Lot)

3. Bike Rental:  No.174, Zhongshan Rd., Yuchi Township, Nantou County 555, Taiwan(1st floor of Sun Moon Lake Fishery Association)

※ Tickets are subject to the designated bike model, other models can be selected at the rental shop with extra charge.

※Once the product has been verified for use, neither return nor refund is allowed. 

【Sun Moon Lake Ropeway】

1. The ticket is only for Sun Moon Lake Ropeway. Ticket to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is not included.

2. It is subject to use the entrance at Sun Moon Lake Station at Ita Thao. The entrance at Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is not allowed.

3. Seasonal thunderstorms are common at Sun Moon Lake. For the safety of the passengers, the facilities may be temporarily suspended when there are lightning concerns.Suggest you visit Sun Moon Lake Ropeway official website or contact service line to confirm whether the station is closed.

4. Due to the routine maintenance, the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway is temporarily closed on the following dates(Ropeway Maintenance Schedule in 2022：1/5-6、3/9、4/6-7、5/4-6、6/1-2、7/6、8/3、9/7-8、10/5、11/2-3、12/7)

5. Bicycles, pets not in pet carriers, or other huge sharp items considered hazardous are prohibited on board (except for guide dogs).

6. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum on the cable. Please store your food and drinks in your bag.

7. Opening Hours

    *Weekdays: 10:30—16:00(Ticketing Hours: 10:00—15:30)

    *Holidays: 10:00—16:30(Ticketing Hours: 09:30—16:00)

   

【Sun Moon Lake Bike】

1. Service Hours:7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily. The rental period is one full day. Please refer to the store's opening hour.

※Tickets are subject to 14 days of expiration, that is to say, tickets must be used within 14 days after Pass activation (including the date of activation). 

※Limit each product once.

【Sun Moon Lake Ropeway】

1. Operating hours may be extended to cater to large scale events (e.g. Sakura Festival), or adjusted due to weather conditions, power failure, system maintenance, etc. Changes in operating hours shall be subject to the announcement posted at the station or on the official website.
