Tiangong Temple

Attractions introduction

Built in 1845, the Temple worships Yu Huang Da Di, and the Temple is also called "King of Heaven Temple." This Temple is only one in Taiwan which was constructed by the Government and the civil. The tablet, read "Yi" (which literally means one), in the Temple is one among the three famous tablets in Tainan City. "Yi" suggests that people can never predict their fate, as the god always can chamge that by a single stoke. The ninth day of the first month in the Lunar Calendar is Yu Huang Da Di's birthday, and many come celebrating the anniversary. They hope they will gain luck by praying to Yu Huang Da Di. Using paper dolls and whipping a snake-shaped lash, wizards help people be away from bad lucks.
