｜Sun Moon Lake Sightseeing Boat

Enjoy the lake and mountain scenery of Sun Moon Lake throughout the journey, accompanied by the captain's warm service and live guided commentary. Along the way, you can see the Lalu Hotel, Sun Moon Lake Hotel, Lalu Island, Ci'en Pagoda, Xuanzang Temple, Xuanguang Temple, floating boathouses, four-handed dip nets, the ropeway station, the water outlet, and Wenwu Temple.

  1. This is an electronic ticket (QR Code); no physical tickets will be sent separately.

  • Operating hours may be extended for major events (such as the Cherry Blossom Festival). Operating hours may also be adjusted due to weather conditions, power outages, or system maintenance.

｜Bicycle Rental Notes

  • Service Hours: Daily 07:00-18:00. Each rental is for the full day. Please refer to the shop's announced business hours for accuracy.
  • Once the QR CODE has been verified and used to rent a bike, no refunds will be issued.

｜Boat Boarding Notes

  1. The physical ticket is a non-registered valuable voucher. Please keep it safe after redemption. If lost, burned, damaged, or expired, it will not be reissued or replaced.
  2. For safety reasons, the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration will announce a suspension of navigation in the event of thick fog, typhoons (when the Nantou County Government announces a suspension of work and classes), or poor weather conditions.
  3. If voyages are delayed due to force majeure such as weather, no refund or compensation may be requested.
  4. Bicycles can be brought on board for a cleaning fee of NT$100 per bike. However, due to different boat models, not all boats can carry them. Please inquire with staff in advance.

｜Product Redemption

  • [Notice on Sun Moon Lake Sightseeing Boat Policy Adjustment]
    In accordance with Sun Moon Lake fleet regulations, tickets have been adjusted to "Round-the-Lake Vouchers" (limited to one full loop back to the initial pier). If you require multi-stop boarding, additional fees must be paid on-site based on current shop announcements.
  • The voucher is limited to specified bicycle models. Other models can be upgraded on-site for an additional fee. Please inquire with on-site staff for details on models and pricing.
  • Once any product or gift in the package has been redeemed or used, no returns or refunds will be accepted.
  • Please be sure to check the operating hours of the redemption stores. If redemption is unavailable during a specific period, please redeem during other normal operating hours within the validity period.
  • The package has a 14-day validity period. All products must be used within 14 days (including the day of first use) after the first product is activated. Example: If the first product is activated on January 1, 2026, the final expiration date for all products is January 14, 2026.
  • This ticket is limited to one person per ticket. Each electronic ticket can only be used once and cannot be reused after verification and entry.
  • In the event of force majeure (including but not limited to natural disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes, and heavy rain), the organizer may postpone or cancel the activity for public safety, with prior notice and contact. The organizer reserves the right to modify, terminate, or change the details of the activity.

｜Sun Moon Lake Ropeway 

  • The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway ticket is limited to one round-trip on the day of use.
  • As this is a ropeway-only ticket, it does not include admission to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village.
  • Passengers may only board from the Sun Moon Lake Main Station (Ita Thao); entry from the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Terminal is not permitted.
  • This is a Full Admission ticket. For other ticket types, please purchase them on-site. 【Fare Table】
  • Seasonal thunderstorms often occur in the Sun Moon Lake area. For safety, the facility will be suspended during lightning risks. We recommend checking the 【Official Website】 or calling to confirm status before your visit.
  • Bicycles, unboxed pets, and other large or sharp hazardous items are prohibited (except for guide dogs).
  • Smoking, eating, drinking, and chewing gum or betel nut are prohibited inside the cabins.
